Had lots of action 5 nice grade halibut 2 striped bass with 15 shorts, great way to kick off the season!

Halibut and striper action are very good to wide open depending on the tide cycle and weather each day and Halibut action will continue to heat up through May and June. Although we are already seeing a very good grade of Fish we expect to see even bigger fish showing up in the weeks. Our tactics right now are trolling and fishing swim bait but soon we should have live bait available. It’s a great time to book a trip if you’re looking to experience fishing in the bay area this spring.

Great fishing in the cards for march! We are nearing the end of our winter season. Fishing is very good for Sturgeon at the moment and the best bite has been close to home in Benicia. Action is strong and numbers are great and should only be getting better. Don’t be afraid of rainy weather in the forecast as this can trigger a hot bite on the Sturgeon grounds. Stay warm and dry in our heated pilot house while you fish. While lunch and soft drinks as well as Bait and Tackle are always provided at no extra charge on Sturgeon Trips. All you need is a fishing license so don’t be afraid to jump on this March! Starting April 1, we will be moving back to Marina Bay yacht Harbor in Richmond targeting Halibut and striped bass! We’re looking forward to a great halibut season in the bay and fish are already showing up in the Southbay well within our range. April marks the start of our busy season So please book advance, especially if you are looking for weekend dates!

Sturgeon Fishing is heating up and right Now is the best time to book your spring Sturgeon trips! We are catching keeper size sturgeon and also oversize fish up 150lbs and Fishing seems to be getting better each trip. Our Sturgeon trips depart from Benicia Marina in Benicia CA near Richmond during the months of February and March to keep us closer to the fishing grounds. Trips also include all Bait, Tackle, rods and reels as well as hot lunch and unlimited soft drinks. Book now and don’t miss out on the hot fishing this spring. Starting in April we will be moving back to Richmond to target Halibut. Our warm winter rains this year are a good precursor to strong spring Halibut fishing and we’re expecting to jump right into a hot halibut bite as soon we are back in Richmond!

This past weekend on a trip we caught 6 sturgeon altogether! This is a trophy fish which is not easy to catch and a bucketlist fish for most serious anglers...

These guys had great time on their trip just shy of limits for the boat we had twice as many opportunities sometimes the fish win..
