Keep lines tight on bottom to feel bite stand near middle of boat for less up down movement. The bite is gentle. Real up when you feel it.

Knowledgeable guide is almost a given if you’re targeting Redfish or Seatrout since access to the various tidal creeks is only feasible by boat. Really need to see it to believe the maze of creeks. Oh, and the tides in the area rise and fall over 6 feet each day. Never seen that before. It’s like the marsh is breathing - recirculating the fresh and salt water the fish thrive in.

Water seems to be so colgado this days and many species are not on yet. It seems after May there is mor variety.

It’s all about the experience! In addition to the fishing, lots of dolphins, a Bald Eagle, two Osprey on a nest, Loons, Terns and more!

Keep in contact with your captain. April showers can screw up a fishery so be flexible on your date plan a three day stay if you can with your trip in the middle that way you can adjust a day before or a day after if your Captain see fit

It was great. There were storms a few days before and it was a bit windy at the end but our captain was a pro in navigating the chop!

Hire a guide like Cody Spetz to learn tactics, equipment and technique. After that you’ll be ready to go on your own.

April a little early in the season for reds, some days good, some slower. Fishing improves in May and red hot in June and July. Good fishing for reds until December but they move around. Incredible lake! We live in NW SA and were home in a half an hour. Incredible!

Waters can be a bit choppy in April. For an amazing experience, if there is a slight possibility you may get sea sick, be sure to take something ahead of time.

Bring a light jacket for early spring mornings and listen to your captain, this person knows his stuff.

You catch something if you have a good angler, guiding you on your excursion, and we did with Jus Cuz . you can tell when a captain really cares about his boat, his passengers and the environment around him.

We can’t say enough good things about our time fishing in Wrightsville Beach! We had a blast spending the afternoon on the water catching Spanish Mackerel and several other fish! I would definitely recommend fishing in Palmetto. 2 hour trip was good but 4 would have been great.

We volume fished for Rockfish. Not a lot of fight but a lot of catch. We were pulling fish out after most of the casts. This gave those in our group that didn’t fish a chance to partake in the experience by preparing/ eating catch. Other fish may give more fight but fewer catches. Angler’s choice.

Not only the great fishing, the bay is also so beautiful. The boat ride was awesome

Windy. But a great captain and crew. They made it possible in those winds.
