Both captain and crew worked incredibly hard to ensure that our outing was successful and fun. They worked hard, they made jokes, but more importantly, they put a lot of fish on the deck. 6 Marlin, 3 Dolphin fish, 1 swordfish, and countless Bonita, rockfish, and rooster fish in n 4 days!  I will be coming back, and I will be fishing with them.

This was our third trip with this Captain and boat and It was the first time fishing for our three grandsons. They had an experience they will never forget.  Captain Manuel and 1st mate Sammy worked very hard to make certain they would catch as many fish as possible. They did not disappoint.  We all had a wonderful time.

Had an amazing day today on 8 hr trip! Very friendly and very knowledgeable! Boat also very clean and spacious! Captain Manuel and Mate Victor immediately put us on the fish. Started small with some bonito for a couple hours then started fishing for marlin. Caught a skipjack then we hooked up on a nice striped marlin! Olter and his team are very good at what they do and I would HIGHlY recommend them to anyone who wants to fish in Cabo, especially if you want to try to catch some marlin!

What a great trip. Having had a great time on a trip on Ursula iV last year, we booked again for a whole day in 2023 (Nov 7). It was recommended last year to book a whole day to go further out for Marlin at THIS time of year. So we booked whole day.
We decided to fish for Mahi Mahi first to get some fish to take back and have them cooked
at La Chachita in the back of the marina (which was great).
We quickly caught and released numerous Mahi and kept a few.
Then we decided to go for Marlin. The Captain Manuel warned us that Marlin fishing had been slow but we (one buddy and I) decided to go further out and maybe get lucky. After maybe 90 minutes of trolling and watching dolphin pods and one turtle, not really expecting anything (except maybe more Mahi Mahi),  and we suddenly had a Marlin strike (side note: buy the live bait for Marlin when you get on the boat). Then two more Marlin strikes an we had a simultaneous triple hookup on Marlin! After 15 minutes or so and several jumps, I landed the first (about 100 pounds striped Marlin) . Released it.
Then I took the third pole which the deckhand Victor had been entertaining and sometimes the pole with fish on had in a pole holder.
My buddy landed his Marlin and later I landed and released the third Marlin. All in the 100 pound range.
Really unexpected for what had been “slow” fishing for Marlin! We called it a day before 10am!
Great fun. Great job by the crew. Second time with them. Highly recommend the Ursula IV. The crew will do its best to get some fish. But Marlin is never a certainty. Have fun

This is an example of problems when FishingBooker lists as “Captain” a person who is just a money middle man. Olter Leondoesnt captain the boat, and as late as the night before the trip was communicating we could go for species that weren’t even present that time of year.  Fortunately, the actual Boat Captain (Manuel) and his mate (Victor) were excellent and we switched to acompletely different plan,  and they worked hard and got us in a lot of great fish (mostly marlin and sailfish). Still, very unhappy with how the booking was handled. If you can guaranteeanuel and Visor,  you’ll do well… but don’t know you can count on it.
