I booked 6 hours for deep drop shot and trolling targeting snapper and grouper. We went about 10-12 miles off shore, and weather was perfect - fairly flat seas, good cloud cover and even a little rain. In spite of best efforts and an hour of extra time (free of charge) we only succeeded in landing a couple of small mako sharks which were later turned into a delicious ceviche. Alejandro, the Captain, has an extensive local knowledge having fished these waters for over 50 years. Guide Trevor, owner of the business and a fellow Canadian) was an excellent conversationalist, relaxed and informal, and he seemed to genuinely disappointed that we did not land something more substantial, something I understand from others is very unusual. As a result, he provided me a free 4 wheeler experience at the base when we returned and he offered a 50% discount if I wanted to try my luck again, which unfortunately I was not able to do because of lack of time. Except for the lack of big fish, all services were delivered as promised with a tasty breakfast to start, and plenty of food and refreshments for the trip. Boat was very comfortable and the equipment was all top notch. Things to know - if you are focussed on getting a tuna or marlin, these tend to be more like 30 miles offshore, so you would need to book more time than 6 hours. Also, important to know is pick up at hotel means pick up by Uber that you pay, but transfer to the base via water taxi from Manga to Isla Bomba is included in the price.

We enjoyed our fishing trip! They helped make accommodations for us to get to the marina.  The captain and crew stayed out longer than expected to make sure we caught fish.  They were all very accommodating and made sure we had a great trip.  When we returned, the chef prepared a meal with our fish and it was absolutely delicious.  We also enjoyed our ATV ride and sitting in the sauna to relax at the end of our trip.  We were provided with many great photos and videos as well.  We will definitely book a trip again!

My only regret was not finding them sooner, probably the most hospitable group in the whole country.

We fished and then ate ceviche and drank great cocktails back at their dock/bar.  An ATV ride, steam sauna and fried fish completed a great day!  The service and everyone were amazing.  I highly recommend going early on your vacation if you wanted ask about other activities.  Enjoy!

Awesome day fishing with Trevor. Took the boys out for a day on the water and we had an amazing time.

Wish we came here on the first day of our trip, it would have saved us a lot of headaches. We would have had way more fun.
