fun trip.  crew really enjoyed what they do and how to do it.  highly recommend to others

Our family had such high hopes and excitement based upon the reviews that we booked two trips. A major selling point for use was that Seelife Adventures gives most of the fish to customer (within reason). As a side note, be respectful and don’t waste the fish by trying to freeze it and take home unless you know exactly what you are doing. It will not end well.

First trip (4 hours) we came back empty handed. Can’t blame things too much on the crew since very few boats were catching anything that day due to being in between two tournament weekends. Too many boats on the water spooking the fish. Apparently the outing the day before came up empty as well.

This just made us that much more excited about the second trip (6 hours with snorkling and fishing). How could we go 0/2 in the best fishing area of Hawaii, right?  Here’s how….sadly.  We got a notice the night before from the captain that the trip had to be canceled due to one of the engines going down. It would have been nice to have gotten some help with another charter since the captain knows more people in the area than we do. Unfortunately, we headed back home a few days later with no fish and only a few memories.

The crew showed up late, all other boats were out before the captain and first mate showed up.  Never got the captains name because he didn’t say more than two words, but it sure was not captain Scott.  Boat was well used leaving the impression of poor maintenance.  Would not of been able to lay down in the cabin if needed, because of the piles of junk and tackle.  Best part of the trip was the first mate, very friendly and informative.  Never caught a fish or even had a bite, but thats fishing.

We just trolled around for 4 hours on a very loud boat hoping to get a fish hooked up. If you enjoy fishing just know all you will be doing is reeling if a fish happens bite.
