I’m mostly to blame for my negative experience with this charter because I had my doubts based on the photos on the advertisement. Most of the photos in the ad were of very little fish or pictures of people casting. This should’ve been the first red flag because if the charter puts you on good fish you would post photos of them.
I ignored my doubts because my wife easily gets seasick and the charter was much more affordable. I rationalized that I could learn to fish the surf and gain a lot of knowledge.
To my disappointment our day began with 6 or 7 other fishermen and we were given light tackle rod with 10lb test, a bobber, leader and some squid. I was disappointed that I was spending 150 dollars for such a simple setup that clearly would not catch the fish advertised such as a barracuda. I was also frustrated because I booked this charter to be guided and taught the techniques. While my guide was helpful when asked, he had too many clients to be truly guiding as I would expect.
To be fair this charter was much cheaper than the other charters. You get what you pay for. I wouldn’t be frustrated except I feel that this charter was advertised as a way to catch decent fish on the surf. This was not that.
If you haven’t fished a lot and want to catch a few small pan sized fish then this is your charter, but dont expect to catch a lot of fish and dont expect to catch anything of substantial size.
Also the beach was not private as advertised.

It was our pleasure! Thank you so much!
