I’m sorry you guys are upset with your trip. But we had a four hour day of fishing and there were no small tunas at the BOUYs.

I trolled for Ono through a tide change, using lures that have been effective in the past with green and gold, purple and silver a larger rapala and a planer rod down deep.

As for our bottom fishing, we spent 45 minutes at the end of the charter using bottom Fish rigs that I haven’t had any problems with taking people on combo trips in the past catching larger gooat fish and NABETA. You even caught fish , you were just upset that they were unfortunately not the size you were looking for. .

Here in Kona we have to troll for all of our pelagic Fish And we would’ve had to troll to our spots anyway to bottom Fish.

I do appreciate your info though, and I will get a rod set up with an iron jig for clients to do vertical jigging as well. I just didn’t see sizable marks on the bottom that would warrant us doing that kind of fishing.

Sir, if you can call me or message me through the Fishing booker to better understand why you gave such a harsh review. We went out and fished Ono Lane and used a nomad lure just like you asked. I’m sorry we didn’t rig up the other three nomads that you brought but What did I not pay attention to?

We fished Ono through a good tide change. And then went out to the deep to try and go for other pelagic species. ?

I went out at 3 am to ensure that we had live bait for the day, even though your charter did not start until 6am .

As for me and my crew , we both were constantly talking , telling stories to you and your girlfriend and making sure you were involved with trying to spot bird and fish. We even came across an open water school of tuna that were unfortunately not biting live bait or lures .

I tried both live bait trolling and deep dropping a live bait at the bouys .

Unfortunately the fish had other plans for our trip out but I feel we went above and beyond to provide a good day on the water .
