We had an amazing fishing trip with Captain Hector from Guapa Boats in Cancún! We booked a 6-hour charter and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.

Captain Hector was fantastic — very friendly, professional, and clearly knows the waters extremely well. He worked hard to put us on fish and kept us moving to the best spots. The boat was comfortable and well equipped, and the whole experience felt safe and well organized.

The fishing was incredible. In just a few hours we landed a great mix of fish including a big amberjack, a beautiful blackfin tuna, and a large snapper. Hector and the crew were super helpful with baiting hooks, coaching during the fight, and making sure everyone had a chance to catch something.

If you’re looking for a fishing charter in Cancún, I highly recommend Guapa Boats and Captain Hector. Great captain, great fishing, and an unforgettable experience. We would absolutely book with them again!

Hands down, the best experience we’ve had in over a decade of fishing. The crew was the most professional and experienced we’ve ever fished with they operated like clockwork, anticipating every need. Despite rough conditions with high winds and waves, the captain and mate stayed totally competent and kept us safe. Such was their confidence that we even caught live bait on the same day (that’s a huge sign they know exactly where and what to target). Had all the gear, food, drinks, seasick meds, and stuff to make fresh ceviche. The fishing was unreal: we hooked 8 barracudas and a snapper in just about 2 hours! Sadly, one passenger got extremely seasick, so we headed back early. Even so, this is honestly the best value fishing trip in the area for the price, highly recommend! Everything very professional and spoke English and Spanish very well.

the crew were super accommodating, going above and beyond to make this an awesome and memorable trip!  the sea was rough but they constantly checked in with us to make sure evertone was ok before moving on to another spot.  They know the best spots to find the big fish and they did not disappoint!!  10/10 I would recommend this crew if you want a knowledgeable, experienced crew and make the best memories!  the ceviche they prepared was amazing too!  I’ve never tasted something so fresh and delicious 😋  these guys know what they’re doing!  would book this again in a heartbeat!

Great day of fishing in Cancún! We chartered the Guapo through fishingbooker. Our captain César Lagunas and Alejandro did an amazing job.They worked really hard to get us on fish. We had a lot of time left to fish but couldn’t continue after catching one after the other. We are so tired but so greatful for the amazing experience. If you’re ever in the Cancún area I would definitely recommend booking the Guapo with César!

I had another incredible trip with Captain Cesar and Andres! He is truly the best offshore captain I have ever fished with. We caught two sailfish! The fish of a lifetime. One was 81 inches and I am having it mounted.

And also caught 4, 20 pound Bonito’s and he made the amazing ceviche on board. My arms were already so tired but then we stopped on the way back and caught 3 nice Barracuda.

He is very helpful and a true master of his craft. This is my second trip with them and will not be the last. I cannot recommend him and Guapo Boat charters strongly enough!
