We had an absolute blast on our 4-hour inshore bay trip with Captain Brian. It was the perfect family outing for our two kids (12 and 8) and my wife. From the moment we stepped on the boat, Captain Brian made everyone feel comfortable and excited.

He was fantastic with the kids — super patient, encouraging, and great at explaining everything in a way they could understand. He kept them engaged the whole time, and they had a ton of fun reeling in fish.

Captain Morris provided an outstanding experience on our trip. He knows the area intimately and has great relationships with everyone we ran into as a normal course of going out on a charter - and is continuously picking up intel on what is hot and where as a result. He got us to where the fish were and knew what they’d go for. Additionally he is very personable, making for an outstanding experience. I will recommend Captain Morris to anyone seeking a private charter experience, and will seek him out next time I go fishing.

We decided to go for yellowtail in the Coronados although still a little early. Saw a number of whales and crazy pods of dolphins, which was pretty cool. Fish were sparse but the captain put in tremendous effort and we managed to get a nice yellowtail. We closed out the day with some deep bottom fishing and filled the cooler with rockfish, grouper and a mean looking lingcod. Brians boat is built for fishing, not lounging, but if you’re looking for a real fishing experience he’s a great choice.

Came down here for parent/student orientation at SDSU this weekend, and my son and I decided to fish all day instead of going golfing. Captain Brian was great, and we caught some small fish in the bay, a halibut but too small, some spotted bass, a silky shark, a mackerel, but unfortunately we got skunked when we went out deep trying to catch the big fish. It’s too bad that there wasn’t even any action, but I’ve been out before and know it’s a crap shoot any time you go out. Brian is knowledgable, friendly, and personable. He felt bad for us, but the fish just weren’t biting or were down deep. My son and I had a great time though! Saw a school of dolphins, a seal was toying with us out in deep waters, . Just wish I captured a pic of my son with a prize bluefin or yellowtail, but don’t we all want that! Next time we can fit it in, we plan to go out again with him. Thanks for taking us out! -Mike
