Going into it we were all hoping that it was going to be a good fishing day, following a tropical storm. I was taking my 13 yr old son for his first real ocean fishing. We are from upstate New York. Unfortunately nothing was caught at all. We were headed back toward shore and captain Brian thought we should try a spot next to a buoy. Finally, my son caught a cobi, two little groupers, a black bass and a pan fish. Obviously it could have been better. With that said the did a great job and tried his hardest and used all his knowledge and abilities to find fish for my son. Our inshore/near shore turned out to be an ‘out to sea’ tour and captain Brian even gave him some more time when he started to catch fish finally. I saw the disappointment in the captains face, how the day didn’t go as planned. All in all captain Brian was funny and very knowledgeable and was dedicated in making my son happy, and doing everything he could. Memories were made and thank you to captain Brian for trying so hard, unfortunately you can make the fish bite.

The big fish weren’t coming out to play on our trip. I spent the trip seasick, but Brian worked super hard to give my son the experience he wanted. He was able to add several new species to his lifetime caught list and that made him happy. Sure it would have been amazing if the fish we caught were larger versions, but if you can’t tempt them with live bait then nothing else to do! We visited many good fishing spots so I can tell how much he wanted my son to be successful. Thanks for a great trip for my son Brian and for putting up with my sick self taking up half your captain’s chair in the rough water.

We wanted to go fishing and we had a great time with Brian. He was a very knowledgeable local guide. The conditions were not great due to incoming weather, so we moved inshore to increase our chances of catching fish. Brian set us up to be successful finding fish, we hooked several different species (blue fish, Black sea bass,  speckle trout, flounder). We’d definitely go out with Brian again.

Captain Brian was awesome. He took every measure to make sure we hooked up with fish despite the weather. He communicated well during the days leading up to the trip and provided a great experience for us out on the water the day of. 10/10 would book again in the future, highly recommended.

Brian is a great captain and we were under a time crunch. He engaged with my boys and we tried many different areas and techniques. Didn’t quite get the catch we hoped for but did hook about a half dozen smaller fish both nearshore and inshore.  My boys caught fish and that put a smile on their faces, that was the goal.
