This was our first charter with my two sons, and I was really hoping to hook into a big fish. The bite started off slow, and for the first few hours we only managed some small perch and catfish—mostly bait-sized fish. But the captain didn’t give up. He made the call to move us to a completely different spot and even offered to stay out longer so we’d have a better chance. That decision paid off! We ended up landing a couple of solid catfish, including a 10-pound blue cat that made the day. My friend also caught an eel, which was an unexpected surprise and fun for everyone to see.
My boys said it was “so much fun,” and I couldn’t agree more. Between the excitement of the catches, the captain’s persistence, and just being out on the water on such a beautiful day, it was a trip we’ll all remember. Thanks, Captain, for making it such a great experience!
