The whipsaw was a great boat. Captain Will, his deck hands Tom and Nate were very knowledgeable. The equipment was all top notch and well taken care of. Wish we could have caught more but that’s why they call it fishing. Definitely a great time, I highly recommend the boat and crew. Well worth the value no matter what you catch
We didn’t catch anything but the crew was well equipped, friendly and tried their best to find the fish. I highly recommend dramamine:)
Captain Will and Tom did not give up on us. As you can tell we all caught a nice Marlin. It was a team effort and we all had fun.
I would suggest any trip with them would be a great time and if you don’t catch anything it’s not from them giving their all it is just called fishing.

Easily the best charter boat i’ve ever taken fishing (and i’ve taken many all over the world). Mainly because of how nice they both are. To top it all off, we managed to catch quite alot of fish and took a bunch home with us to cook. Nothing like fresh sushi for a homemade Poke Bowl!
I booked a surprise half day trip for my husband and step-son a Sunday morning. We left at 5:30 am with James captaining the boat and Brandon working the lines. The water was super rough today! Not too long out of the harbor, the waves got rocking, and we got a bite! Unfortunately it didn’t hook though. Brandon said it was a marlin based on how the line was shaved. We pushed on for 2 hours out with no more bites. We were about a 1/2 hour back to the harbor, husband was super sad, and we got a bite! He jumped in the chair and reeled in a beautiful Ono! So.Much.Fun!!!! These guys were really nice and always checking on us. They stayed upstairs a lot, letting the 3 of us just hang out down below. They were great at explaining everything right off the bat and could tell they take enjoy their job. James shared with us some smoked dip he made (and it was delish!!!!).
It was awesome because it wasn’t a huge boat, but the 3 of us basically got a private charter out for the 1/2 day. It was clean, all the equipment looked fairly new & in great condition, staff was wonderful. No complaints at all. Even if we didn’t get a fish, we thoroughly appreciated the trip and would definitely do it again!
** I didn’t realize the taxes and harbor fees would be do much as I didn’t really know what a harbor fee was (assumed parking fees). It was an additional $75-ish due on arrival at the boat on top of what FishingBooker shows you still pay/owe. I didn’t mind paying it at all, but wish the site and/or company was more clear on the total or what to expect - since I was a newbie at this! Not a complaint, just maybe something to improve on, for clarity.
