Nearshore creates all kinds of opportuni

When the water warms up over 75 degrees tripletail start to show up in our inshore waters. I had a day off and took my daughter on Memorial Day and she caught 4 tripletail. The one in the picture was 19.2 pounds and is currently being reviewed by IGFA to become the new World Record for a female angler 9 years old or younger! Proud Captain and DAD

Fly fishing trips are on fire right now. We are getting some really good flood tides (tides where redfish tail in the grass) this week. On the big tide we are also getting some really low tides as well. These tides create opportunities to sight the fish prior to casting at them. We are stalking and hunting these fish before we make a cast at the target fish.

I took a father and son for their first saltwater fishing trip. We started out looking for tripletail and were able to land a little one that we released to grow bigger. We then moved in at the low tide and had over 20 shots at redfish in shallow water. we managed to get a double and an additional single.
