Fishing this month has been nothing short of outstanding! A red-hot spring has led right into a fantastic summer with ample hungry fish. The K/D tournament is in full swing, with the overall lead fish weighing in at 31.65 lbs at the time of this report. Many many kings have hit the deck, with some pushing into the high 20 lb range. Steelhead have also been making more of an appearance lately, including a 17.3lb trophy boated last week! Most fish have been coming on or near the bank reef, depending on the time of day. Spoons have taken the most fish, though flasher/flies are still producing and should not be counted out, either. A 31.65 king salmon will be a good weight to beat, but there are also port prizes for the heaviest fish weighed daily. It's not too late to get in on tourney action, as it runs till noon on 7/23.
