Fall trout fishing has been on full swing here in eastern, NC. All my fish have been coming on artificial baits and finally starting to see some cooler weather in the forecast which means the fishing will only get better.

Got a quick trip in this morning with Wayne before the winds roll in and it turned into an absolute bite. Started off trolling and it was lights out. Switched over to casting jigs and kept right on catching. Wayne boxed a few for dinner and let plenty more swim. Water temps are sitting at 61.5° with fish holding in 40–50 feet. This bite is only going to get better from here. I’ve still got a few dates open in April and May before these fish move on now’s the time to get in on it!
