Little fella got on the boat and asked, "Capt. Ryan, can we please just catch redfish?" Off to the marsh we went loaded with campos live shrimp and popping corks. We found a pattern that the fish were on. They wanted to be off the banks and in the small grass beds. Once we got them in a good rhythm with popping the corks and drawing attention to the fish, it was on. The live shrimp danced around and the redfish were hungry and very aggressive. They fought hard from hookset to the net. Great fay amd the smiles on this kids face was priceless.

It was a super windy day for Brandus, but we had a blast. She traveled from Georgia just to experience what Shell Beach, Louisiana had to offer and she got everything she could of asked for from her first redfish, her biggest (which we lost the picture of it somehow) and the most fish on one trip shes ever caught. Even though it was windy from this small cool front that passed by, the north winds didn't blow amy of the water out like it usually does. So we started with a decent tide, and it was on the rise all day. We hit the marsh loaded with live shrimp from campos Marina. Once i got her in the groove of popping the cork hard enough to grab the attention of any fish in the area, it was on. The water was dirty and rough, so it took a lot of casting and trying to figure out what the fish wanted and where they wanted to be. We got a pattern fairly quick and went to work on the redfish. Shs lost 2 monster flounder rite at the boat. Just the way it goes, rite.
