Permit and Tarpon time in the Florida Ke

Tarpon and Permit are on the move here in the Lower Keys, and things are heating up fast. We’ve been focusing on strong moving water around the bridges, where the Tarpon are showing up in good numbers—rolling, tail-slapping, and making their presence known. It’s a game of patience and persistence, but when it all comes together, it’s as exciting as it gets. Out on the reef edge, the Yellowtail bite remains steady, with some quality fish in the mix. Mackerel are also cruising through, so be ready—things can change fast, and when the bite turns on, it’s game on. Springtime fishing is in full swing down here. Let’s get after it.
