The memorial day weekend was one to remeber. Less than poor weather brought the larger Striped Bass out of their winter haunts and into our fishing grounds. Many of the fish went above 35”, with the largest of the weekend at 43”! While keeper Stripers were harder to find, the Winter Flounder absolutely made up for this with a steady bite making for great tablefare. A wonderful way to kick off the season with only improving conditions from here!

"Too big!" was the theme this week with the vast majority of bass being over-slot sized. Fish in the mid 30 inch range were considered common while the big ones pushed low to mid 40's. While the slot-sized fish weren't always as prevalent due to the bigger bass, flounder fishing remained wide open for those looking to go home with dinner. Another great week with no signs of slowing!

After a long break in period of our brand new twin **hidden content**HP Yamaha motors, we finally snuck out to do some fishing with a minor break in the weather! This crew got it done, immediately finding several Stripers up to 45” with nonstop topwater action all afternoon. Many of the more “mediocre” fish of the trip were in the high 30” to low 40” range, with some slot fish mixed in to bring home for dinner. While the weather isn’t ideal for our season kickoff, the fishing is nothing short of unreal. For those who don’t mind a few bumps along the way, now is the time!

With the Striper season now in full swing, we are seeing very steady fishing and lots of fish to take home! Todays afternoon crew absolutely crushed it, boating 4 keepers in the first half hour, and finding the last one shortly after. Throwing back keepers became the norm as fish continuted to come over the rail. Eventually finding some that were too big to keep, right around 38 inches, rounded off a fantastic day with Showtime Sportfishing. Book now and get in on the action!

Another day of stiff wind lead to the common question, “is it worth it?”. Come to find out, it was very much worth it. After a 25 minute ride through less than ideal conditions, we set up and quickly began marking fish. We fired the rods out and instantly started taking the extra large variety of Striped Bass 2 at a time. The constant action remained this way, with the common fish being between 36 and 38 inches, and the larger size being upwards of 45 and 46 inches, tipping the scale at 35-40lbs. Even the kids got in on the action, catching multiple 40+ inch fish on their own! Another legendary day in the books with many stories to bring home, as well as dinner after finding a few smaller fish. The big ones won’t be here forever! With yet another crew opting to hunt bigger game, we set out on the hunt for the larger variety of striped bass. We set out making a bit of a further run than usual, but it paid off bigtime. Within 30 minutes of setting up, we had a school of massive Striped Bass dialed in to the tee. The next three and a half hours were spent catching slob sized Stripers, landing 8 fish over 35 inches and 20lbs, 4 fish in the 40 inch range weighing roughly 25-30lbs, and 3 fish over 45 inches in the mid 30lb range. While these fish had to go back according to the slot size, we manged to grab a few fish for dinner before heading back to the dock.
