What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Biloxi, Mississippi for the first time?

Captain Kenny was great we were on the fish in no time we had three sharks in the boat within 5 minutes.

Make sure you have a charter with sufficient and / or a variety of bait and one that knows in shore/near shore areas well in case of changing weather. Smaller boats catch fish too!

Early morning trips before the heat sets in. The captain even moved the trip up and hour so it's more bearable

Absolutely the captain and his mate were awesome and the boat was excellent. My girlfriend was able to take a nap in the cabin with the air conditioning going. Everybody was happy.

Pick a good guide and unless your going after a specific species let them help you figure out what to go after!

Be patient, when we finally hit the fish (Mackerel) we were pulling them in the boat as fast as we could get our lines in the water.

Don't book more than a 4 hour trip unless you've been on a boat before. May might be best weather wise and the water should be warmer with a faster bite.

Our only expectation going in was hoping our teenage son would have a great time and catch a few fish and he accomplished both!

It can be cold in February even on the Ms Gulf Coast bring appropriate fishing clothing and you will be fine. My target was sheepshead and the Capt put me on them.

As long as the captain and crew are decent folks to help new comers with knowledge sharing their experience like we had, I can’t imagine even having a rough time at all. It was a blast!

There are probably better times of the year to fish in Biloxi than the day after Christmas, but we had an awesome time.

You might need long pants and light jacket early in October but it warmed up and was beautiful later in the day. Be mindful of weather and dress accordingly.

If it’s very hot for the day, I would follow the recommendation of the Captain and go out earlier in the morning so you have a better chance to catch fish.

We were a little early in March for the best fishing but Brandon still got us fish. He is the best!

It is HOT and the sun will try to fry you! Wear plenty of sunscreen, hydrate, and get in the shade as much as you can. Be ready for big fish that are quite a fight to pull in.

Go during october or November for good fishing. Get a crab licence too. Lots of blue crabs some I was even catching on Rod and reel.
