We had an unforgettable time aboard Runnin the Flats in Naples! From start to finish, our captain made the experience feel totally personalized for our family. He was patient, kind, and super knowledgeable—not just with the kids, but with all of us.

He taught us how to fish properly, explained which fish we could keep or use for bait, and helped Penelope with her own kid-sized pole (not a baby one—one just for her!). He even taught us about mangroves, boating safety, and the different fish we saw.

Then—this was the best part—a dolphin came up by the boat! The captain told us to keep an eye out, and sure enough, it played in our wake and jumped through the waves. The kids were thrilled and we got some amazing pictures.

He let us stay out longer so we could catch something special (and we did!), gave us water, took pictures, and made sure everyone was happy and involved.

the record cold had set in the 3 nights before the trip. made fishing a little rough but the capt made the trip totally worth it.

We had a great 6 hrs private charter trip with Captain Rob and went fishing in the morning off Ten Thousand Islands with our three boys (16, 14 and 9 years old).

We caught plenty of fish incl. Spanish mackerel,  catfish, spotted seatrout, lizard fish, croaker, whiting and crevalle jack.

Our catch-of-the-day: mouth watering fried silver seatrout files that we brought to a nearby restaurant and had for lunch.

Captain Rob was awesome.  I took out my two sons (ages 9 and 10) and me niece and her boyfriend.  Captain Rob could not have made this trip any better for us.  We were able to catch plenty of fish and he even took one of our fish and put it on a shark pole and we were even able to catch a lemon shark as a bonus.  Captain Rob was great dealing with my son’s who needed plenty of assistance but he was always there to help them out.  I would highly recommend taking a fishing trip with him
