Booked a last minute trip out of Miami beach which Captain Alex happily accepted. Really good guy and I had a great time. I ve charted plenty of boats in the past and I have to say, he really cared to get me on fish as he pulled out every rod, bait and trick in the book. Although my trip was booked to 8 pm, we fished beyond that time to try and get on a few tarpon and snook. Had some crazy line screamers and plenty of action.  He’s a super nice guy and he know’s his way around the water.  Book with confidence. Highly recommend. I will book with him again.

Captain Alex was great. I had my wife and 2 boys (13 and 11) and the plan was to go offshore to target mahi, sailfish, etc. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and seas were 5-6 ft. Even under these conditions Alex was willing to take us offshore, but my 11 year old gets sea sick so no chance he could endure 5-6 footers.
So we pivoted and he took us to an area near Stiltsville close to shore and put us on mutton snapper, red grouper and jacks! Overall a great day on the water even though we couldn’t get offshore!

From the start of our trip this was an amazing experience.  I have been on several guided trip and to have a captain talk to you and share knowledge about the fishery is amazing.  We found fish and caught fish.  His gear is great boat is very nice, if I take any more charters in Miami I will use Bearcut again, just go longer than 4 hours it’s worth every penny.

Alek the Captain was fantastic, we had a family of four with two young children and he was very patient with everyone! The biggest problem with our charter was to pay all that money and we had a terrible weather day, which is not under his control I understand. We thought we were going out for Mahi-Mahi and Tuna but didn’t know the swells were so bad so we had to stay much closer to shore. Just wish we could have transferred the entire trip to another day because we would have done that before we even got on board that day. The day ended with seasickness because of the chop, and Alek was great throughout and very patient. Would highly recommend this company and captain, just wish I would have had more conversations about the weather conditions that day before heading out.

Instead of fishing we went to the Sea & Air show on Miami Beach. It was an amazing & unique experience.  Captain Alek asked us if we wanted to shift from the evening trip we had planned to an afternoon trip to see the show. It was entirely up to us & it was great advice. He also extended the charter by 2 hours (at no expense). The result was an awesome experience for the whole family. Captain Alek is first class captain & we had a great time with him. The boat is comfortable & fun. We will definitely go out again.
