Captain Bob and his son, Wes, clearly know where the best spots are and how to fish because we were catching fish left and right as soon as our lines were in the water.  We easily caught our limit.  We were blessed with amazing weather, and we really enjoyed visiting with Bob and Wes.  They’re a lot of fun.  We were also excited that they let our 18-yr-old son and friend net the fish…..we’ve never had a charter let us do that before…..It added a lot to the total experience.

I went out solo with Bob on a beautiful Lake Michigan day, as a complete novice to these waters. I told him I was hoping to learn—and he delivered in spades. I came away with a much better understanding of the area, local conditions, and the gear and techniques for fishing around the Manitou Islands. Captain Bob is an excellent captain and should be the captain on your next trip out! He is personable, a great communicator and put us on fish quick.  The weather was overcast and the water was choppy but Captain Bob prevailed.  All 6 people in our group, ages 12-63,  caught at least one fish and considering the size of our catch it was plenty! Both my 11 amd 9 year old boys AND my wife all had a splendid time.  Bob is informative and super friendly and lively to talk to.  He helped the boys feel right at home and showed us all the ropes. Caught our limit!  Go with BOB!!

Bob was fantastic! It was the first fishing trip for most of us, and he made it an unforgettable experience. We caught several fish each, had a ton of fun, and he went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. Highly recommend! 🎣😊
