Before booking I reached out to captain Alec to inform him of some pretty tough schedule restrains that were outside his normal time slots.  He replied almost immediately and said that it was no problem. Come the day of fishing we were running late and again Capt Alec accommodated.  My wife was expecting an important phone call and missed it, Captain. Alec then helped my wife clean her phone screen and stopped the boat for her to make her call. Once she was done he took us DIRECTLY to the fish. He told my wife what to do with the first pole he put out and before he could get the second rod setup, SHE WAS ON A YELLOWTAIL SNAPPER! The other couple with us never fished before and loved every second.  We caught about 15 keeper fish and when we got back Captain Alec did it again. After we were late and he started our time from when we got on the boat (not our scheduled time) he then spent 35 minutes perfectly and cleanly filleting our catch leaving no bones and even removing the bloodline out of each piece. By this time it was past 9 and pitch black dark. He went above and beyond catering to our group, our individual fishing abilities, and stopped everything multiple times to take pictures for us. We even got one of the sun setting with miami in the backdrop. My wife and I fish often and charter trips everywhere we travel and the experience doesn’t get better than this. It was Perfect. BOOK IT!

Fishing was a bit slow but Captain Alek still treated us like kings! We got a good size fish from the bottom and Alek filleted it up and made sashimi ON THE BOAR! This was seriously one of the coolest experiences ever! He even used his own recipe of spices for the seasoning! I have always wanted to do this and it almost felt like Alek read my mind! When we caught the fish too he was super stoked for everyone on board and really hyped the situation! I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting! If you can swing it, do the full day option. The 4 hours is a great option but if you love fishing as much as I do…it’s not enough lol!

For those who get seasick, bring Dramamine, one of our party members learned that the hard way.

Also bring sunscreen, you will regret it if you don’t!

My boyfriend and I did the 4 hour sunset cruise in Miami. Alek is a highly skilled angler who has been fishing this area his entire life. The vibe was so fun and relaxing, even while Alek stayed busy to get the best fishing experience for us. He took GREAT photos for us without our even having to ask, and airdropped them all to us at the end.  Alek hyped us up and took us to the best secret hotspots for fish. We caught a bunch of mangrove jack and had a blast reeling them in. Unlike my bf, I have very little fishing experience and Alek was so patient and helpful while I got the hang of it; soon I was catching beautiful fish too.
Even just the experience of being on the boat in the Miami sunset is so special. The views were unmatched. While we fished, Alek prepared us a sashimi dish from the freshest fish I have ever eaten, which was caught earlier in the day! It was DELICIOUS. Alek is so easygoing and really aims to please, pivoting when necessary to get the best fishing and the best vibes. My boyfriend wanted to drop some artificial bait and Alek made it happen. I cannot recommend this charter experience more highly!!

I brought my son to Miami to go fishing on his 13th birthday.  We went out with Captain Alek on the 4:00PM to 8:00PM trip.  What a cool trip it was to go out at that time of day.  You get a couple of hours of daylight fishing, the Miami sunset and a couple hours of night fishing.  We have done quite a few charters and this one was a new experience.  Captain Alek had us on the fish as soon as we got to his first spot.  Between the two of us we caught around 30 fish.  It was almost constant casting and working a bite.  You should definitely book your trip with Captain Alek (we will the next time we are back in Miami).  He was very laid back and fun.  He was great with my son and really wanted us to have a good time.
