Today is Tuesday, May 23 in Destin, Florida on board the Hound Dog fishing charter with Capt. Taylor & 1st mate - Matt.
We just had an AWESOME experience during
6 a.m. until Noon trip.
It’s called fishing, but our group of four did a whole lot of “CATCHING” (We caught more than 50 fish & brought home 29 keepers - Triggerfish & snapper) They were delicious.
Matt did an wonderful job of showing us how to fish using their tackle, & kept all lines baited & ready to go.
None of us ever had to touch what we caught, and he did a great job fileting our keepers, too.Thanks Matt.
Thanks Capt. Taylor for getting us there & back safely & for the helpful directions from start to finish.
The Hound Dog is a beautiful boat, very clean with all the amenities, including access to a bathroom & AC cabin.

P.S. - June 1 Red Snapper season opens. Be sure to give Capt. Taylor a call. We caught a couple of nice ones but fortunately for the fish, catch & release only at this time.

Had a great time! Capt Taylor and Matt were awesome. They made sure to put us on some fish. Husband even got a thrill with fighting and catching a 200-300 lb bull shark! Son loved the boat ride and was able to catch a few trigger fish—unfortunately they were out of season so we couldnt take them home, but we did catch our fair share of red snappers. We were worried that the weather was going to make us cancel our trip, but thankfully the skies cleared up right before our trip. One of the best fishing charters we’ve taken. Taylor and Ian were awesome, couldn’t have had a better time. Taylor would put us on a hot spot every time fish would move and Ian couldn’t have worked harder. With 4 of us fishing and as soon as a line was in the water, there was a fish being reeled in and Ian would have us baited and back to fishing. I’ve been going on charter fishing trips for almost 20 years and out of all of them, they were the best. Wonderful experience with Captain Waterfield and First Mate Matt.  Cpt and crew put us on the Red Snapper right out of the gate and we had our legal limit in less that 15 minutes.  Crew was attentive, coached us through the fishing experience and provided plenty of knowledge and encouragement.  Even gave us the time and opportunity to do some shark fishing and had us hooking our very first 6’ shark for the fishing experience of our lifetimes!  Again, thank you to the Captain and Crew of the Hound Dog!  We will be back!
