I had the pleasure of stepping aboard David and Allan’s boat with my two young sons for a family fishing trip. We booked a 4-hour outing and caught four fish—much to the excitement of my kids!

Allan was incredibly patient and took the time to answer all of my sons’ (many!) questions about fishing, which they absolutely loved. David even invited them up to “his office” so they could take in the view—such a special touch that made the experience unforgettable.

Highly recommend this crew! They are friendly, trustworthy, helpful, and genuinely great with kids.

We went out fishing with Captain David on a day when the seas were definitely on the rougher side, but he handled everything with confidence and professionalism. Despite the conditions, we still managed to land a beautiful wahoo, which made the trip even more memorable.

Captain David kept the mood upbeat the entire time, explained what we were doing, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. You can tell he knows these waters well and genuinely enjoys what he does. Even with challenging seas, the experience never felt stressful — just adventurous and fun.

If you’re looking for a knowledgeable captain who stays positive, works hard to put you on fish, and delivers a great experience no matter the conditions, Captain David is a great choice. We’d absolutely go out with him again.

from the moment we were picked up at the dock the reception was warm and happy.  it isn’t about the money for this team, it is a love of their craft, the ocean, and making sure their guests have a great time with or without fish in the box.  I’ve used a lot of guides/captains in my travels and i would put these gentlemen at the top of the list.  while we were fishing Alan gave me an in depth history lesson about the island that was unmatched by all other locals I’ve visited with while here. give them a go, you will not be disappointed!!!

We had an absolutely amazing day out on the water with the What Ap Ap fishing charter in Curaçao! From start to finish, everything was top-notch.

Captain and Alex were both fantastic—super friendly, professional, and clearly experienced. Their knowledge of the waters and fishing techniques made the whole trip smooth and exciting. They really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time.

🎣 The catch? We reeled in 3 barracudas and 4 tunas — an unforgettable experience! The thrill of the fight and the crew’s guidance made it even better.

The boat itself is very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped — plenty of space to relax between bites. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a first-time fisherman, this crew will make sure you’re well taken care of.

In short: great boat, great people, great fishing. I’d recommend What Ap Ap to anyone visiting Curaçao who wants a high-quality fishing experience with a friendly and skilled crew. Can’t wait to do it again!

This was my very first time fishing the ocean much less on a charter and they were both very helpful and hospitable

Took this trip on my honeymoon and I did all of the fishing and captain david kept my wife entertained and kept a smile on her face on the top deck all day
