I started the day by saying I had been offshore fishing the day before.
Garrett was determined to show that inshore is more exciting. He then provided a very strong argument throughout the day with his locations.
It does seem to take more skill and overall is more exciting. It’s more hunting in varying locations for different types of fish.
Which makes for a very good days fishing.

It was a very action packed day many different types of fish some of a very high quality regarding the size.
I lost a few quality fish but when fishing in locations with so many snags it’s going to happen.

We were quickly into fish after only 5 mins and every stop delivered fish.  My wife had not fished much before and she really enjoyed the day and managed to match me fish for fish.  This was all down to the captain’s knowledge and tuition.  We rounded the day off in style with a lunch on the recommendation of the captain - great

Our tour was to be 8-12, but at the suggestion of Captain Garrett we came two hours early and it paid off. It wasn’t nearly as hot and as he suggested they were biting earlier not later in the heat. We were looking for take home fish not fun fishing to release so we got snappers and trout. Throw back fish we had fun catching were the gag grouper who was out of season (we’ll be back for him later),  some ladyfish, and pinfish. Main thing: Captain Garrett was putting us on fish and we were reeling in and having a blast. When my wife hooked the gag grouper it went for the rocks and most people would have thought they had snagged something but Captain Garrett knew with patience we would have a chance of reeling in a nice fish. 10 minutes later she was taking a photo with Captain Garrett and proud as punch. We saw some dolphins and a manatee which was back and forth under our boat checking out the humans.

Captian Garrett was a great host. We wanted to catch our supper for the evening but were unable to catch any red drum of legal size. Not the captain’s fault. What he did do was put us on numbers. In a 3 hour trip we put at least 40 fish in the boat. Spot after spot produced fish. We would definitely book another trip with him. A great young Captain with a bright future ahead of him.
