We had a great experience with Captain Alex. It was our first time bay fishing and he made the experience unforgettable. From the beginning of our trip we knew we were going to have a great time. Alex really made us feel comfortable and he is helpful giving tips and tricks he learned over the years. We caught a few good keepers but none less we were fishing.  Definitely recommend his services if you are in the Port A area. We will definitely do it again. Thanks again Captain Alex Cruz.

Captain Alex did an amazing job helping a few novices and our first time boys have a great fishing experience. He communicated well with me before hand and discussed a few options of fishing areas based on fishing conditions at the time. Recommend we go out of Corpus instead of Port Aransas as we set up and it would probably be a Black Drum day. I was a little disappointed because I wanted Reds but wanted to also make sure the boys caught fish.  First thing in the morning though Captain Alex put us in some spots to catch Red and Trout and we did so I was happy about that. We then went after the Drum. It took a bit to find them and it was crowded in some of the known areas so admittedly I was a little worried it was going to be a bad fishing day. However once Captain Alex found them, we put 15 in the boat and they were way more fun to catch then I thought. He was great with the boys. Taught them a lot about the fish and had great patience with all of us. We will definitely use him again on the next trip.

We took a 5 hour morning trip on Sunday July 16, 2023.
Captain Cruz was very informative the day before on where and when we will be meeting. Upon our arrival he was already all setup and ready to roll. I’m a fairly new angler to saltwater fishing so it was nice to be educated on some stuff as well. He definitely made it an experience none of us will forget along with making a great friend he treated us as if we’ve been fishing together for years on a personal level which was amazing to have and can tell he loves what he does and knows exactly what he’s doing.  We thank you very much for the time and great experience for all of us on something we will remember forever. We’ll definitely be returning again soon but until then God Bless and keep them lines tight! FISH ON!!

Alex knew SO many places to go along the TX coast to find redfish/drum and trout.  He has apparently done this for almost 20 years. 

His equipment was top notch.  He was courteous to drive the boat in a way that made the passengers comfortable.  AND he was relatively AFFORDABLE!  $550 for a half day!
