We definitely raised the bar for the largest fish you have ever caught. You told me at the beginning of the trip your largest fish ever caught was a 25 lb carp. Those oversized bull sharks follow the tarpon schools and are more than a handful when hooked up on a tarpon rod and reel. The 6’ er you caught was about a 20-minute battle. Indeed it was a very hot late August day on the Bay. I enjoyed meeting you and your wife for a four hour fishing trip.

It was a real pleasure fishing with you and your family. We started the morning with a long SLOW boat ride in fog with less than 50 yds visibility. Navigated to the location I’d found the big redfish the previous day totally by chart GPS. Those big drum didn’t let us down.

It’s been a brutally hot August. Water temperatures in the Bay have been high, making for tough fishing conditions . Great folks who obviously enjoyed getting out on the Bay for six hours of fishing.
