Ron: Really enjoyed the AmVets team and had a lot of fun with you guys. Grouper are difficult-gags are the only species of grouper available now and to get them, requires you be in 120’ of water, which is about 35-40 miles offshore. I thought we had a pretty good day, boating 30 fish. Some of those Spanish were over 20”. Grouper fishing is great if you’re catching; a long, boring ride in the hot sun for nothing if you’re not catching. We never discussed grouper and I would have advised you against the long ride if we had. Thanks for fishing with us. Capt. Gary
