Rob was an amazing captain and tried to let everybody in on the action. We went at 5 am but the bite was slow that day which was fine because we hooked onto at least 12 fish but lost them at the boat, if you are planning this charter at 5 am just know that the Kokanee have very soft mouths and spit it as soon as they are at the surface and lakers are rare but put up a great fight. 5 an is very early but it is worth it going later in the day can cause less catches. Rob is amazing let us catch fish and gave lots of advice about the fishing. Don’t pass the rods was one big thing, we would hook a fish but my lil bro was in the cabin and we would hand it off to home and it would lose the fish so whoever grabs it gets the fish

This dude went above and beyond for my family on July 4th!
We had a mid day trip and hooked up 1 fish after about an hour. Knowing it wouldn’t be super productive due to holiday boat traffic & being off the bite, he gave us a personal tour of some of the most beautiful parts of the lake from a locals perspective.
We hit areas like Emerald Bay and he even stopped to let us hike up to see the falls and snap some photos and do some swimming in the most sought after spot on the lake!
Once the sun and boat traffic died off a bit, he got us back out & hooked up with another fish and made our way back to the marina.
Not a bad way to spend the 4th!
It was like we were just out for a day on the lake with a great family friend.
My wife and Mother in law both told me how amazing of a day they had and my son has already asked when we will be going back out with a captain Rob!

It was a rough day on Tahoe with many guides coming up empty on the mid day trip.  Captain Rob kept after it and was able to locate the fish.  We ended up pulling in quite a few Mackinaw while trolling the drop offs.  The photo above is a 6-7 pound beauty we snagged in the early afternoon.

Captain Rob has been fishing these waters since a teenager.  He knows how to fish this body and will put you on the trout.  Rob is known for pulling in some huge clunkers from Tahoe, including the record Rainbow pictured in his profile.

Got on the water with Captain Rob and my dad bright and early at 530am. We worked the south and west shore most of the day as well as Emerald Bay. Rob had all the right gear to put us on non stop action. We probably had bites every 30 mins. Most of the action going to lake trout, we did manage a few nice browns as well. Rob was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe and knows the lake like the back of his hand. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a charter on Lake Tahoe whether it be fishing or just a cruise. Super knowledgeable and personable Captain, was a pleasure fishing with him!
