Despite the 20mph winds and the previous week of thunderstorms, Captain John managed to provide an awesome day. We caught a few fish, viewed a large pod of dolphins, and dug several dozen huge clams. All things considered we could not have asked for a better experience. John is a great guy and tried hard to provided us with an unique experience. I’d recommend this charter to anyone seeking a fun day on the water.

My son and I booked a few days before the trip. Captain John called us to find out what we wanted to do (fish, shell, swim). We wanted to fish and swim to cool off at the end. The fishing wasn’t great that day for anyone (according to the radio) but we caught enough to make my son happy. Captain John talked him through reeling it in and his instructions we very clear and concise. While we were waiting for the fish to bite, he pointed out interesting sites and provided history and details. We had a super fun time and I wish we had booked an all day trip.

Had a 4 hr trip today and had a blast. We took our 3 girls and they had a great time. They got to go clam digging and thought that was the coolest thing ever. Capt John had as much fun as they did I believe. We come down 3-4 times a year and we will be back on this boat again!! We didn’t catch a lot of fish but it wasn’t for lack of trying and you can’t blame the capt if the fish aren’t biting. ( That’s just stupid) If a 17,16 and 13 group of girls can be entertained for 4 hours it’s worth it!! Thanks again, Mike

We were blessed with a beautiful evening and an absolutely gorgeous sunset. Photos do not do it justice. We had a lot of action and even hooked and released a Stingray. We were only able to land one Blue fish as quite a few chewed through the lines and got away. An amazing time was had by everyone! A must do if you’re in Hatteras! Thank you so much Captain John!

We booked a sunset cruise for our visit to OBX with UnWind Charters and it was a highlight of the trip! Our three teenagers had a great time fishing and we enjoyed an amazing creek cruise and sunset! Capt. John was fantastic and we would highly recommend this (and would book again!).
