We weren’t sure about fishing in open water but the booking was so easy with Fishing Booker that we decided to try it. Information was shared via email and text after the booking. We were well informed about what to expect and we’re ready to go! Dakota met us at the pickup location and we were off. He managed all the fishing supplies and it was great. We had a 9 year old and an 18 year old. The 9 year old was first to catch a fish and the 18 year old caught the biggest fish! He took us to a great spot to fish and we shifted when the fish slowed down some. Dakota was a knowledgeable guide and pleasant to hang out with in the bay. The only we thing we regret is not booking a longer trip.

Captain Zach and his staff went beyond expectations to accommodate us. Traffic getting to the island was horrible with “emergency” construction causing multiple accidents; we were over an hour late. We were met with understanding. Got to still go on our full 2hr tour. And better yet my newly 5yo remembers his great 1st fishing trip. Captain Zach was patient with each of us. Just the right amount of support for our 5yo. Even when our child’s independence with sleepiness started to show itself.  My guys are already talking about going back for a longer tour.

Awesome experience! Myself, my boy and his buddy. None of had been salt water fishing before. Booked just 2 hours, the boys weren’t sure about being out too long. I was thinking not long enough to get to a fishing spot and catch anything. I was so wrong! It was AWESOME! The boat ride itself was like a tour of Galveston inter coastal. The boys caught a trout (filled for us by Captain Dave) that we cooked and ate tonight, and we caught several others - even (quite accidentally) a stingray. What a memory and experience!! This was a fantastic trip.  Saw dolphins, everyone caught a fish.  Caught one catfish we kept.  It made a tasty breakfast.  Not catfishy.  We enjoyed the flavor.  Thank you Captain David for helping us fish, keeping our motion sickness at bay and most of all for providing us precious family memories.  Soaking my hat in cold water was refreshing-exactly what I needed!
