The duo of Captain Mike and his Wife Karen were amazing. Karen called the day before to ensure everything was good, answered all my questions and were ready to greet us bright and early in the morning. You can tell Captain Mike’s passion for fishing. He began by taking us to his routine spots, giving us history and always engaging in conversation. The beginning of the trip, the fish weren’t cooperating and Captain Mike was right on it ready to make a move to the next hot bed and then we started getting multiple bite after bite. The excitement of reeling in a 30” Halibut with the help Mike was worth the trip with a lifetime of memories. Then, we ended up pulling in 5+ more fish. Even in the WORST fishing conditions imaginable, Cpt Mike created a really fun trip, and on top of that we even managed to catch a couple halibut and a bass. Super patient with both kiddos and adults.

Mike was amazing, and Karen is behind the scenes being even more amazing. Great fishing, greater than 20 fish across a number of different drifts. He really helped my son understand how to fish quickly and get some fish in the boat as well. Bay trip is great for novices because the boat isn’t too rocky. Learned lots about the navy while traveling to and from different fishing spots. Would recommend this trip!

Today’s trip was absolutely amazing! Bubba Jean gave us the ride of our lives.  Mike and Karen are very professional and knowledgeable about San Diego fishing. We caught all of the fish we were hunting for: Ling Cod, grouper, & vermillion.  Mike knew just where to go and how to get them in the boat. We went hunting for Tuna and ended up in the middle of 15 acres of dolphins, whales, seabirds, a giant sun fish, and tuna rising everywhere.  Thank you so much Mike and Karen for today.
