Had a blast with Apex Charters. James worked with me to reschedule an earlier booking to late June due to the weather. I appreciated him reaching out to offer that as an option because it would have been a miserable waste of time with the storm if we went out on my original booking date. Late June was perfect weather wise and the tourism flood wasn’t in yet. Every spot we went to, James put us on fish and in abundance. We caught tons of Trigger Fish, Mahi, Red Snapper and a Bonito. Thanks Nathan for an awesome review. Lots of action on the day. Had to jump around looking for fish to take home but we was able to get some nice meat. Mahi were young schooling fish but we catch enough of them to get a nice bag of meat to take home. We had to weed through alot of trigger fish to land a few nice red snapper. Your group did great with all if the different techniques from light tackel to heavy bottom fishing. Looking forward to our next trip out. Captain James Scott

Wonderful service throughout the whole trip! Captain James was very accommodating; making sure we knew where the restrooms and life jackets were. He took us to multiple fishing spots making sure we were able to catch some fish. My husband and I had a blast catching fishing while Captain James kept score. We definitely can’t wait to plan a trip in the future with him for some more fishing fun!

This was our first time fishing in the ocean and Captain James went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience! He did a great job getting us to some awesome fishing spots and making everything fun and easy. He made sure we were all comfortable and having a great time. We ended up catching plenty of snapper and mahi-mahi to make two delicious meals. I cannot recommend him enough!

Fishing was definitely a little slow, weather did not help us much. I still have a great time and got us hooked up with a few fighters. We definitely need to go round 2 with a little better conditions and see if we can’t pull off one of those epic days on the water. Captain James

Awesome review. I am glad we crushed it on your first open water experience. Got to fight one of mother nature’s top apex predators. The power of a large shark is pretty on real. Mother nature also made you earned your sea legs. It was a little choppy and some big wave action. Definitely a very successful day on the water. We need to get back out now for round 2. Had a good trip, it was cold, which we knew. Captain James, the boat & equipment were all great. Struggled to catch many fish, which was frustrating. We understood that’s fishing, tough to pay a lot & not hit it well, but we chose to come in off season so to speak, because we wanted to get out of MN for a week.

Thanks for a great review, even with a very slow bite. We have colder water temperatures this year and makes things a little more tough fishing conditions. We made the best of it, hit alot of different spots. Only found one good spot until the sharks showed up. Great effort but definitely thin on the fish. I still had a great time with you on the water. Hopefully we can get back out in better condition and have a epic day. Captain James Scott
