Myrtle Grove is a very nice marina. We met Captain Max and got started with a Flounder. We then caught Drum, Redfish, Speckled Trout, and a Sheepshead. The great majority were Redfish with the others mixed in. It was a cold and overcast December morning with a strong wind which made it interesting and fun. Max brought us to several locations which all proved to be active sites. The boat is well appointed and very easy to fish. All in all it was as good as fishing can get and my old nickname of Captain Kryptonite has been retired, as I caught my fair share and Capt. Max helped me as a novice with patience and kindness. I’d give six stars if I could. Thanks Max for making great memories for us all.

Took my son to NOLA for his 21st birthday & while New Orleans was great, our fishing charter with Captain Max @ Drum & Co. Fishing was phenomenal.

Aside from having a nice boat & quality rod and reels, Captain Max possesses the skills, the patience, and the superior knowledge of the area, thus making him a top tier captain!

We’re already planning our next trip.

We had a great day fishing with Captain Max on the Bayou! The weather had gotten colder, but Captain Max still got us on some fish which made for an exciting day.  Captain Max was laid back and easy going which is exactly the trip we were looking for.  He was very knowledgeable about the area and the fish species their and we had some great conversation.
If we come back to the are again we will definitely be going for another day on the bayou with Captain Max!  Highly recommend!

My husband and I had a great time! Max was super attentive without being overbearing.  It was quite cold for our trip, but we had so much fun we didn’t even notice.  We caught a few fish despite other anglers reporting difficulties. It’s obvious that Max really cares about his customers and enjoys his job.
