My issues with the trip:
1) Listing didn’t have the address. I reached out via the Fishing Booker login since that is the way it is requested to communicate and there was no response. I finally texted and got a response the morning of the trip. This wasn’t that big of a deal but the address given to me was 10801 Collins Avenue. N., Miami Beach. Well this is not correct. The boat is located at Bill Bird Marina at 10800 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida. My Uber driver and I had trouble finding the place.
2) The listing is totally incorrect.
“If you decide to go out during the winter months, Capt. Steve will take you fishing 1-5 miles offshore. Come summer, and you can venture up to 15 miles out for whatever is in season and biting.
Capt. Steve offers a hands-on live bait fishing using the finest light tackle gear. Switch to heavy tackle if needed or go for trolling, spinning, kite fishing for Sailfish, and bottom fishing in deep water.
With Miss Tra Sea, you can expect to target Amberjack, Red Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Tarpon, Skipjack Tuna, King Mackerel, Barracuda, Goliath Grouper, and Mahi Mahi to name a few. Whichever species you’d like to take off your bucket list, just let your captain know. He will tell you what’s in season and biting.
You will go out aboard the ’Miss Tra Sea’, a 32’ Open Fisherman. She is a spacious boat, powered by a 430 HP Cummins Diesel inboard engine. The Miss Tra Sea offers 360 degrees of fishing fun for everyone aboard. She is fully outfitted for all types of fishing on the beautiful waters of Florida.”
We fished in the winter months and we did not even fish off shore. We stayed in the bay. We didn’t get to chose what to fish for because we fished in the bay. The boat described here we didn’t use because it has been broken for 14 weeks. We used a smaller boat that was an inshore boat that was not designed to be used for offshore fishing. It was windy but when you spend this kind of money to get an opportunity to fish while you are in town you want to actually fish and not hang out in the bay.
3) My son is 9 years old and has fished a lot. The Captain never called him by his name. He called him “Baby Boy” the entire trip. He is not a Baby and should have been called his name.
4) I felt the Captain spent about 20% of the time on the phone talking about random things (HVAC repairs, etc.)
5) I gave him a good tip which I really regret but I know that many people have struggled during the pandemic while I have had the good fortune to maintain a good job throughout the pandemic.

The day of the 30th was very rough they were call for 7 to 10 foot seas so all we could do was stay in the bay we did catch some fish maybe not what the customer really wanted but we did make a day of it I do take my job very seriously and I do not put my customers in any kind of danger of any sorts we determine if the ocean is safe enough to go out fishing and sometimes it’s just too rough for any of the boats to go out particular that day there was three boats that went out all three boats...
