We live in Ft Lauderdale and decided to go to Key Largo for a half day fishing charter at 7am and booked the Sea Spirit for the first time. We are so happy we did because we had such a wonderful time!

The captain and mate were so great, accommodating, and so funny with my fiancé and I, and our 2 kids: 8 year old and 14 year old. We were told a couple days prior to the trip and again that morning (April 30th) of the charter that the winds were looking around 15 knotts and the seas would probably be a bit choppy. We took a chance wanting to try to fish offshore because we knew our 14 year old loves offshore fishing for big fish. There were probably 4-5’ waves as we were getting closer to the reef and 2 of us weren’t feeling so great while the other two were just fine of course lol.

The captain was so kind and accommodating to turn the boat around to fish closer inshore.  We went to 2 different spots and the boys caught fish right away. The youngest was so proud reeling in a keeper, perfect sized yellowtail snapper ...attached the pic. Then the big monster sized mangrove snappers and muttin and a jack came right after. The mate netted some more live bait fish too which was so much fun for the kids to see.

At the 2nd spot Randy cut up a big barracuda and used it and chummed the water to attract the sharks and tarpon and we caught a bonnet shark which was so fun and exciting for everyone! We cannot say enough about how GREAT Captain Brandon and Randy are…they are so entertaining, knowledgeable about the fishing and the reefs and their boat was perfect for us and kept very clean.  We will definitely come back and book with Brandon and Randy in June and any and every time we charter in the Keys! We would highly recommend them to everyone!!!
