To begin with I have been guiding for 30 years and never have I had a parent act and treat there child with so much disrespect as Mr.Perkins did his 2 boys. I held my tongue as long as I could but when he grab the youngest boy and shock him like a rag doll I could hold back any longer. I tried to explain to him that catching fish is expose to be a pleasant experience not a life and death fight! None of what he wrote was even close to being accurate. The line broke because the youngest son was so scared of doing something wrong that he let the fish get caught up in the out drive of the lower unit. Never have I had a father make his son cry in my boat , not just once but 3 times! I really felt sorry for these boy and if I had to do it again I would do it the same way! Fishing is pose to be fun and a time to make happy memories not scare your kids to death!
