Captain Ben's wallowing 10hrs tour
Подтвержденный1st off Ben Was late. We were all on the boat waiting when he arrived. Weighed for about 2hrs out of a 10hour day. Disgusting toilet, no tea or coffee, no help with seasick friend . All fish was dump in bucket of increasingly warm water, none gutted or collected good fish going bad in the Sun . There as only 10 on board and we were really cramped. Constantly snagging lines. I hate to thing what it would be like with a full 25 on board. Never do this trip again.

Hi there Mary, sorry to hear you weren’t happy with the fishing trip. You’re quite right with a couple of points, but incorrect on most, seems like your memory of the day is quite different to the reality.
There were alot of tangles due to the amount of current, and having to fish in the deeper water as the shallows haven’t been very fruitful, explained at the beginning of the day. Made slightly worse by using 2 rods (one for you, and the other for your seasick friend). I recommended against this, as it creates more tangles, but you seemed insistent on using both. Not much I can do about this.
With regards to being late, thats not true at all. I was on the boat, with everything ready to go, before 7. Had a couple of customers not show, so cant leave early incase the customers turn up on time. Safety briefing started at 7am, and we were away from the berth at 7:05, which is normal.
I changed the water in your bucket twice, and in the info sent to you by Fishing Booker, it mentioned to bring your own ice and chilli bin. Its summer, and yes, it gets warm here in the BOP :)
Not true about the no help either. I spent all day making sure everyone had as much fishing time as possible, and spent my day helping take fish off, untangling lines, cutting bait, as well as helping you out by fishing on behalf of your seasick friend, to help with the tally on a hard day. I caught a couple of fish for you, including the snapper I filleted for you for your fresh fish (with no manners, please or thank you I might add). At the start of the day, I always ask my passengers to ask if they need help, or there’s anything at all I can do to help, so not sure you saved it until the end of the day (this includes tea and coffee, etc?).
With regards to the toilet, yes its slightly different to the toilet your used to at home, but I can assure you its checked throughout the day, and scrubbed, and washed at the end of each trip. Most certainly not disgusting.
Unsure what your mean by “Weighed for about 2hrs out of a 10hour day”, you certainly weren’t waiting for me to show up for 2 hours, that is for sure. Not sure what your talking about here.
With regards to your seasick friend, by the time you are sick, there’s not alot that can be done, most fish through if they are well enough, but sometimes thats just the luck of the draw unfortunately. Pretty surprising to see these comments after a friendly chat at the end of the day, but there you go eh.
Hope you have a Happy New Year.
Regards
Ben
