I have been leaving in Costa Rica for more than 2 years and so far I hadn’t hooked a rooster fish, a symbolic fish I wanted to catch, if possible a nice one… I decided to go with Bahia Rica Adventure and all was great ! Captain Thomas and his crew now their spots and it didn’t take long after we put the live bait behind the boat to get a strike ! Rooster was on, and not a small one ! The popping and jigging was excellent too with lots of jacks and snappers in that so beautiful landscape around Negritos and Tortuga islands. Already thinking about going back as soon as possible !

My youngest son that is 12 was worn out reeling in fish I had a great time laughing at him moaning each time we hooked a fish and I would tell him to Get on a rod
After we left he said man dad those fish pull way to hard my arms are sore

If you are new to this kind of gamefish (or an experienced angler), this is where you book your trip. The livingquarters, food and drink, general service is top notch. But when it comes to the fishing words cant really describe it. The knowledge in these waters from Cpt. Jones and his crew is unquestionable, popper, jigging, stickbaits or fish with baitfish? He does it all, and the cew helps you out with everything, or if you want to be hands on yourself you can do that as well. The variation of species are big, and there are some big monsters swimming around those reefs! In 8 days, me and my friend got almost 30 roosters, Well over a 100 jacks, needlefish, bonitos, yeah you name it. The Cubera is tricky, but when they come they are usually big! And you are most likley to encounter some epic wildlife as well. I am for sure going back!
