My son and I set out with a plan in mind and when Scott saw it wasn’t working, he adjusted the plan so we would still enjoy catching fish! We ended up with 10 Yellowtail Snappers and lovely memories of the day in the boat. Scott was very educated and took time to teach techniques unfamiliar to us as freshwater fishermen. We did a 2 hour charter and had a blast.  Despite the short trip we got in a ton of fishing.  Forrest was great with my 10 year old son and I think we’ve now got a fisherman for life.

Our half-day Tavernier charter started with Captain Scott graciously picking us up at the dock in the condo community where we were staying. Our family group ranged from experienced fishermen to fearful beginners (me). Scott’s excellent boating on a less-than-perfect weather day and knowledge of where to drop anchor yielded dinner that night (mutton snapper) and no queasy stomachs! We will definitely call on Scott again when we return to the keys. This novice fisher is now a believer!

Scott was so accommodating with rescheduling due to weather. And, we had 3 teens and one younger child. One was experienced fisherman and he let him get going right away! He was patient and taught the other 2 kids how to cast! He made sure my son caught some fish!
