We had an amazing trip with Blue Ridge Troutfitters! From the very start, communication was top-notch — Zach made everything easy and smooth leading up to the trip. But the real highlight was our guide, Joe Pickett. Joe was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the river and the fish, but also one of the most personable and engaging guides we’ve ever had.
We caught a ton of fish, but just as importantly, we walked away better fly fishermen. Joe took the time to explain techniques, offer insightful tips, and help us really understand the “why” behind each approach. His passion for the sport and the local waters was obvious — and contagious.
Whether you’re a beginner or experienced angler, I can’t recommend Blue Ridge Troutfitters and Joe Pickett highly enough. We’ll definitely be booking with them again!
