Josh, with Southern Son Charters, is an amazing captain.  We enjoyed our first one so much we book another one the same week.  He is very knowledgeable and our family had a lot of fun catching mahi mahi and yellowtail’s.  We have been on a lot of charters and this truly was the best one ever.  Our family still yells “FISH ON!!”  Can’t wait to go back to Marathon next year.  We will definitely be booking with Josh again!!

Captain Josh and first mate Pops were fantastic! Took us to the hump where we caught some Blackfin Tuna and then did a deep drop. They showed us novice deep sea fishermen everything we needed to know to catch a bunch of fish! Highly recommend!!

From the time we got on the boat till the time the trip was over Captain Josh treated us like family. His boat and fishing equipment is top notch, and our day on the water felt like a dream. Every spot we fished, the bite was on!!! We been planning this trip for many years to the Florida Keys, and to go on a dream fishing trip, and Josh was the Captain that made it happen!!I

I have fished with Josh on several occasions! He’s very knowledgeable about target species and will definitely get you on the fish! He’s very patient and polite. As a woman angler, you want to feel comfortable and respected on a boat and Josh made me feel at ease. He will explain tackle and rigging if you are interested in learning more about fishing. Captain Josh was organized and ready. We went to cash fish and we did. We ate some tonight. I had three sons on the trip, 12, 31,33 and it was great. Captain Josh did an incredible job taking care of us with the vast age differences. Perfect fishing trip for a male bonding trip for us. We will be back. Josh was organized and professional.
