Captain Juan and his mate are great fishermen. My young son and I, went all day.  We hit a sailfish right away and then everything died down for hours, but they kept trying all day and the last hour lit up again with mahi and tuna.  It was a tough fishing day but they wanted us to get on them as much as we did, and persistence paid off.  I’d definitely recommend them next time.

My brother and I had an awesome day out with Juan and his hand, Byron.  We did an 8-hour trip and Juan got us on a school of Mahi Mahi within an hour.  It was exciting action in the morning and mid afternoon.  The bite died down mid day, but Juan kept working to try and find the fish during that period.  We ended the day in some more exciting dorado action.  we were fortunate and saw a lot of different wildlife throughout the day: Manta rays, dolfins, turtles and more.  They also prepared some amazing fresh sashimi/poke with one our fish that was absolutely delicious!  Highly recommend booking with Juan.

Der Empfang an Board war direkt sehr herzlich und wir haben besprochen weiter rauszufahren. Professionell wurden die Ruten vorbereitet, es wurde mir alles super erklärt und im Zielgebiet angekommen konnten wir sofort anfangen mit angeln. Der erste Mahi Mahi hat sich nicht lange bitten lassen.
einige Versuche später gab es dann noch eine kapitalen Mahi Mahi. Gegen Mittag wurden wir dann noch mit einem kapitalen Sailfish belohnt. alles in allem ein super Tag und die Erwartungen wurden erfüllt.

This was our first trip to Costa Rica.The captain and mate were very helpful and experienced. Though the water was a bit rough for our trip, they put us on the fish. My wife and I each landed a beautiful Mahi Mahi. The crew helped with filleting the fish and bagging it up for us. Snacks and drinks were provided and they picked us up and dropped us off at the beach of our resort. Overall, a successful and enjoyable fishing experience.
Note that if you are wanting to bring fresh fish home, you will need to arrange for that ahead of your trip. We were informed too late that our fish would need to be taken to nearby Playa Coco for a 24 hour stay and then picked up the next day. Fortunately, the restaurant staff at our resort was very accommodating and prepared some of the fish for us to enjoy.
