This was the first of two different Charter Boat Fishing tripa I booked for myself and my 21 year old daughter. It was an all around excellent trip. Never fishes in Costa Rica. Very different than expected but no disappointments. Not knowing what to expect, we stayed relatively close to shore but we in 35-50 foot depths. Slow trolling. Had an amazing time on this fishing trip! The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We caught few fish, which made it exciting, but the best part was seeing how much fun my boys had—it made the trip truly special. To top it off, we had an incredible dolphin show toward the end that was completely unexpected and unforgettable. Watching them up close was a perfect way to wrap up the day. Captain Gabriel was quick to respond.  He helped my elderly father get on and off the water taxi and boat.  There was a cooler of cold drinks and delicious pineapple.  He knew where we might find red snapper and we caught 2 lovely keepers.  Then we caught another 2 pompano fish.  So beautiful!  While fishing we saw several sea turtles and an amazing display as a male humback whale breached the surface and took off for the sky.  Incredible!  I would highly recommend Captain Gabriel... We booked a half-day fishing trip with Fishing Booker and overall had a really good experience. We were two couples and managed to catch 6 snappers and 1 needlefish, so it was definitely a fun and productive outing. We went fishing specifically for roosterfish. We had an amazing catch of 7 roosterfish, all a good size. The experience was WOW! As an added bonus, we were lucky enough to see dolphins and whales up close; it was magical. Gabriel and his team are pros; they know the fishing techniques for each target species well—they’re true professionals! Even the snack was delicious.
