We had an 8 hour trip and started out trolling and caught a 15-20 lb mahi but seas were rougn and trolling was slow and no other boats were catching anything so we did some bottom fishing and caught 7 red snapper and then decided to try for roosterfish inahore. We caught one nice one and then that slowed down. The crew made fresh mahi ceviche that was out of this world good.  This may not be typical, but since we were staying close to Captain Moies , he offered to to cook our mahi and snapper... Еще

We had such a fun trip with Gerald, first mate Jose and the captain. The crew were friendly, spoke excellent English, happy and very knowledgeable. They even picked us up on the beach at our hotel which was a bonus. We caught 3 tuna right away, a huge marlin and sailfish on our 6 hr trip. Gerald even expertly prepared a fruit platter with fresh pineapple and watermelon. Then he made a beautiful plate of sashimi with avocado, lime juice, onions, tomatoes, olive oil, soy sauce with the tuna we caught... Еще

Had a spectacular day on F/V Sea Star!!! After picking us up right off our resort beach, they asked what my two buddies and I were targeting. Sailfish has been at the top of my “bucket list” for a long time……so off we went. Captain Ronald and deckhands Gerald & Jose were EXCEPTIONAL. The gear prep was the best I’ve ever seen, and after an hour and a half run…..we were fishing. We landed SEVEN Sailfish and three small Mahi Mahi when it was all said and done……EPIC day!!! The Sea Star Crew really made it a great fishing day for my kids to remember.  From pickup to drop off everything went very smoothly.  The Deckhands Gerald & Jose made sure to interact with the kids and even showed them how and why they gear prep the way they do.  Once fishing all the kids were able to catch fish. 2 Sailfish & 2 Mahi Mahi.  Gerald even used some of the Mahi Mahi to make a delicious sashimi plate that the kids devoured.  At the end we wished we could have fished longer, so... My daughter and I had a great experience with these guys! Very friendly and experienced. Weather conditions weren’t as favorable as we would have liked but we still managed to land 1 Sailfish, 4 Red Snappers, and a couple SkinnyFace fish.
