Best charter I’ve been on in awhile! If you’re in the Myrtle beach area then I highly recommend it. I know I’ll be back.
Capt Jim is great! His fully rigged 37 Sea Hunter with trip 300’s will put you on the fish fast! My son and I had a great day offshore. We caught multiple species while utilizing several fishing methods. We are experienced fishermen and I can assureyou will not be disappointed with Capt Jim at the Helm!! Tight Lines!
As an avid fisherman this is the best captain I have every fished with. The first mate ( GOLDEN DOODLE)great and enjoyable. When you rent this boat you feel welcome like family. Do yourself a favor and charter him.
Really a fun guy to fish with, he makes you feel welcome
The Full Moon of March- Capt Mike said forecast for seas and fishing were good. Man was that an understatement ! we met captain Mike Dockside before sunrise. Predawn weather in the fifties. Captain Mike had big blue awash in lights with Ice, bait, and a wide range of gear ready to go. Underway at first light heading off shore about 100 miles. As Capt Mike stated conditions ideal. we were able to run wide open and were on the fishing grounds by Nine AM. Then the magic started. Sun bright and warm, and the ocean temp rose to the mid seventies such that all the layers of clothes came off. Shirt sleeves and Sun Block all around. I had confided to Mike that I had never caught a wahoo. Mike had his nose in the wind trolling, chumming, finding both the current lines, and bottom topography to catch. On this beautiful day i and my party- caught 4 impressive Wahoo, ten black fin tuna, six -mahi mahi. the catch smartly preped and stowed on ice and new gear ready and in the water. Never has a fisherman had a bigger smile, and a tired arm. On the run home…bean bags designed for napping were deployed for total comfort. A big orange ball of sunset sank over the North Myrtle Beach skyline. Capt Mike knew we were staying intown and suggested we leave the catch iced and the catch could be filleted and packed the next morning. I wanted to improve my filleting skills and Capt Mike and his son expertly filleted and vacuum packed the catch while simultaneously giving me tips as I struggled to master this. Oh yes a cold beer and some tuna sashimi complete with wasabi, soy, and pickled ginger served by Captain Jim’s wife Michelle was yet another touch of magic. I have fished around the world and this was one of the most fun trips I have ever taken. Don’t miss Captain Mike and the “Big Blue”
