Cold front had come thru a couple days earlier but we still caught largemouth in the 2-3 # range and a decent channel cat that I had for dinner.  Capt Scott is a good guy with plenty of good stories. I don’t base a good day of fishing strictly on the amount of fish that are caught but heavily weigh in on what I learn. Booked Scott to prefish a club bass tourney. i dont know KY/Barkley. He showed me a pattern i havent used and we caught several fish but only a couple keepers. To be fair my club tourn only had 3 boats weighin the next day! Heck of a nice guy and knows his stuff. he does crappie trips too and has spots!

The day started out hot. Hotter than normal. Surface temps were in the high 80’s but the game plan was to fish top water for a good part of the morning. Surprisingly it worked very well. We boated over 6 fish. Not all keepers but a good mix of smallmouth and largemouth bass. Then we fished some deep water ledges and bites another 6 or more. Most in the 4 plus range.

If you want to hire a knowledgeable Fishing Guide, Scott McGlinchey is the right person. He was very friendly and made us feel like family.  He moved around when fishing was slow and seemed to always find the right spot.  Defintely will book with Scott next year.
