At the beginning almost no action, but as the sun started to set we have good action. A first tarpon lost just after hook up. Then a I hooked a second on blue crab. This was large, over 100 lbs. It almost did not jump, but it made us go around. Captain Mike followed the fist and avoided its maneuvers to break lose. Captain Mike did an excellent job maneuvering the boat. After an hour fighting we manage to make the fish close to the boat, but only for a very short while not enough to take nice pictures. We brought the fish close to the boat a couple of times, but only for a few minutes before it ran away again. I got really tired and decided to break the line and that’s the end of the story since it was already dark and time to go. Captain Mike provided me with very nice spinning outfit. Van staal reel and 80 lbs fishing rod. It was an impressive experience fighting such large tarpon, but without Captain Mike expertise piloting the boat it would have ended shortly.

Fantastic experience and great guiding by captain Colin, in contact with most of the fish species you can expect, wonderful wild life experiences and great gear.
Will be back to catch the big one.

It was a last minute trip and CPT Colin did not disappoint.  We lost several and boated one.  Great time terrific captain knowledgeable and personable.

Excellent experience with an insightful, helpful, and skilled Captain. Looking forward to another shot at the bonefish!
