Capt’n Brett putt us in the right spot early based on the weather, wind and tide. He is an Islamorada native, so he know the way around the backcountry. We caught a ton of species, but took home a lot of Spanish Mackerel and snapper for a great late lunch. Mission accomplished. He did a great job and was a pleasure for my son and I on the boat…just a great guy. I would do it again tomorrow.
Such a pleasure fishing with you and Max! That platter of fish looks amazing! See you next trip!
Thank you! it was a pleasure fishing with all of you!
Took my sister and brother-in-law out for their first ocean fishing experience. Captain Brett was patient in teaching them how to fish, especially given the wind we were challenged with. I was hoping for a Tarpon to give them the ultimate lesson, and while Brett took us to a place we saw them, no luck on getting one to bite. We did catch a few nice size shark and barracuda, and plenty of action on some smaller fish to end the day. I would definitely recommend him.
I am a novice fisherman and Brett made this a fun learning experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the time in the back country and will repeat on a future trip.
Pleasure having you on board! Looking forward to next time!
We were hoping to catch something we could take home. This was discussed in advance with the caption. Although we caught lots of fish, none were big enough to keep, or none that would have made for good eating. So good for practice only.
Thank you for your review. I thoroughly enjoyed having your family on board. On a less than ideal morning, north wind at 20kts and water and air temps in the upper 60’s, we managed to catch roughly 100 fish in 4hrs in 4 different locations. That’s a win in my book! Captains can’t control the weather, nor can we choose which fish bite the hook. We do our best with the situation presented and hope our clients have an enjoyable experience.
